Description

RICHARD WAGNER’S “THE RING”, THE RING OF NIBELUNG (OR DER RING DES NIBELUNGEN)
It took Richard Wagner 26 years to write the 4 music dramas that comprise of The Ring, having completed it in 1876. The opera takes approximately 16 hours in it’s entirety, which is why it is done in 4 parts.
This offering is for all 4 tickets in a 4 week period, performed at the Metropolitan Opera House.
02/08/1944 - Das Rheingold - part 1 of the music dramas.
02/15/1944 - Die Walküere - part 2 of the music dramas.
02/22/1944 - Siegfried - part 3 of the music dramas.
02/29/1944 - Götterdämmerung - part 4 of the music dramas.
It was said that Hitler admired (and was a frequent listener of this particular work, as the opera is about a Fuehrer full or deceit and trickery. Much of Wagner’s work was considered controversial.
Selling as a group...you get all 4 tickets with your purchase! note that part 2-4 are the same seat assignment). I do have an extra of Götterdämmerung (not picture - for March 22, 1941) that I will sell as a single if this one generates interest.
Shipping is free (to the Continental US only please).
