    Description

WE MAKE AN UNIQUE ANTENNA PRODUCT THAT IS BASED IN SCIENCE NOT HYPE!  SOME TV ANTENNA'S BEING SOLD TODAY HAVE RECEIVING RANGES THAT ARE  OUTRAGEOUS!   CLAIMING RECEPTION RANGE OF 960 MILES AND MISLEADING CUSTOMERS WITH HYPE.
    HERE ARE THE FACTS:
1.) No TV antenna outdoor or indoor can receive past a distance of 99 miles do to the curvature of the earth under normal conditions.
Example: An extreme example with a broadcast antenna 4500 feet high and TV at sea level.
In normal weather conditions, the service range of a TV station antenna at an altitude of 1500 meters with respect to receivers at sea level can be found as :
    or 99 miles
You have a transmitting antenna at a height of 1500 meters or 4500 feet.  The best your going to do is 99 miles in perfect conditions which means no electrical noise, atmospheric interference, and perfect line of sight transmission.  This is why the absolute theoretical range is placed at 80 miles.
This is due to the curvature of the earth illustrated as follows.
So when you read the antenna adds boasting 200, 400, 900 miles you can see that it is simply not the case.
    Radio horizon COURTESY OF  IEEE
    The
    radio horizon
is the locus of points at which direct rays from an antenna are tangential to the surface of the Earth. If the Earth were a perfect sphere without an atmosphere, the radio horizon would be a circle. Radio wave propagation is affected by atmospheric conditions, the ionosphere and the presence of obstructions, for example mountains or trees.
We sell the Kantenna indoor TV antenna that has a maximum range of 80 miles in optimum conditions.
    DIGITAL VS ANALOG ANTENNA'S
In the purest sense there is no such thing as a Digital Antenna.   A TV antenna is simply a device that receives and analog carrier wave of electromagnetic radiation called UHF or VHF in simple terms.  However, there is a distinction between antenna's that receive digital signals vs analog signals.  The distinction is size!  Digital antenna's do not need to be as large as a conventional TV aerial to receive signal.  And there geometry is designed to optimize the reception of digital signals.  Your indoor TV antenna today would not receive analog TV signals very well from the days of CRT based analog TV.  The Kantenna is optimized to receive the maximum amount of signal for the minimum amount of size and does so without the need of an amplifier.
So yes under the definition presented here there is a such thing as a digital antenna.
We are one of the few companies manufacturing a new and unique Digital design.  And they really  work!  Read our positive comments.
Our antenna's need no signal amplification.    The imports do because there antenna design is a throwback from the analog CRT TV antenna days.  And even then they weren't great indoor antenna's.
A properly designed digital antenna needs little or no amplification under normal conditions.
The amplifier is use to make up for poor antenna performance.
DON'T BE SUCKED INTO THE OUTLANDISH CLAIMS AND HORRIBLE PERFORMANCE.  THEY COUNT ON THE FACT THAT BY SELLING THE ANTENNA CHEAPLY YOU WILL NOT RETURN IT BECAUSE YOU COULD NOT AFFORD TO SHIP IT BACK OUT OF THE USA.
THE KANTENNA COMES WITH A 10' (REAL) HIGH QUALITY BELDEN COAXIAL CABLE,  INSTRUCTIONS AND WARRANTY.  THE KANTENNA IS BUILT IN THE USA.
Our goal is to sell a quality TV antenna product that really works and back it up with service!  We provide our phone number and contact information with all of our antenna products.  We want to help!   Our company name is also our website so feel free to call us on any questions you may have about our antenna products.
