Description
Kumihimo Discs were made in Japan to make braids with cords. The major historical use of cords was by samurai (warriors of premodern Japan) as both a functional and decorative way to lace their lamellar armor (a type of body armor) and their horses' armor. However, in present these cords are used as ties on haori jackets (kimono style jacket) and obijime (sash), moreover these discs can be used to make exceptional jewelry, bracelets and much more. You can also pair these with embroidery floss, rattail, silk, nylon and other cords that are 1.5mm or smaller. These Kumihimo discs are made out of lightweight foam material and are portable. Each pack comes with 2 Kumihimo discs, 1 square disc with 40 notches and 1 circle disc with 32 notches. The size of large disc is 5.9 inches x 6 inches while the small disc measures 3.8 inches x 3.8 inches.
