Amazing mirror-like surfaces!
I've been collecting Britannias for many years, and this coin's mirror-like quality is one of the best I've seen. The Royal Mint's planchet(s) that this coin came from must have been extremely high quality. On both sides of this coin, there's a lot of surface area that's "plain"... so the mirror-like qualities are superb and stand thru. NO MILK SPOTS.
Struck in
0.958 fine silver.
My experience has been that Sterling silver (.925) coins and these 0.958 fine silver coins tend to retain their visual properties better verses .999 pure silver coins. It seems like the added-in alloy(s) help a coins longer term appearance - lower risk of toning, discoloration, spots developing, etc. That's MY OPINION / observation, and may or may not be valid.
Obverse:
The obverse of the coin is graced by the Ian Rank-Broadley profile of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The inscriptions "ELIZABETH II D.G." REG. F.D.", "REG FID DEF" and "2 POUNDS."
Reverse:
Features an original design by acclaimed artist Christopher Le Brun. The
iconic Britannia is holding a shield and trident as she gazes over the sea, a watchful lion by her side. Inscribed are "BRITANNIA," "2007", "ONE OUNCE FINE SILVER".
I purchased this coin 'raw' a few years ago, sent it into NGC for certification, and have kept it stored away as part of my personal coin collection since. My wife thinks that going on vacation is far more fun than collecting coins... so, I'm selling off a few of 'my' coins from 'my' personal collection - including this one!
NGC Great Britain custom label

value/ upgrade - my cost
)
Coin, OGP, and COA have been kept in a smoke-free, temperature & humidity controlled environment since I purchased them.
Note:
This coin looks perfect to me (and NGC too I guess - with NGC grading it as PF70UC).
I'll be glad answer any of your questions. If you're considering buying this coin, I'll be glad to take more very detailed pictures/images if needed... just ask.
Double-checked for "Milk Spots"
, any surface issues... there are none visible. Coin is near perfect.
COA is included.
Note that in 2007 The Royal Mint did NOT serialize (assign a unique number like '1234') their Certificate Of Authenticity. So the COA is included, however, it does not have COA 'number'. One of the pictures in this listing shows the full front and back of the COA pamphlet.
The coin in the pictures (
NGC#

)
is THE PF70 UC coin that I am selling
(actual images)
, and an accurate representation of what you are buying. Other 'stock' photos also used.
