    Description

    This auction is for the original artwork by Jack Higgins for his Chicago Sun-Times editorial cartoon dated 1984. The artwork shows a Chicago Transit Authority elevated train zooming past an "L" station as commuters hold their hats. The train is marked "CTA Board" with "Gravy Train" at the top. The artwork measures approx. 11-3/4" x 17-5/8". This is the original artwork that Jack Higgins created. The artwork is in good condition - there are a few small marks/smudges/ light dirt on the art - there are editor notes written on the back - the artist's work shows, with some minor corrections as the piece was crafted - there is a small (3/4") mark along the right side of the top border - on the back there is ink that has migrated from other artwork that was stored beneath it. A NICE, ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECE OF EDITORIAL ARTWORK THAT WOULD LOOK GREAT FRAMED! When packed, this will ship at the 2 pound rate - check the postage calculator.
